I woke up to some pretty sad news today.
Paul Walker, who plays Brian O’Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise, died in a horrific car crash in Santa Clarita, California yesterday after the Porsche he was travelling in struck a tree and burst into flames.
The Porsche Carrera GT, which has a top speed of 205mph, was being driven by a friend of Walker following a charity event which he organised in order to raise money for victims of the typhoon which struck the Philippines in early November. Police say speed could have been a factor in the accident.
Fast & Furious – Brian O’Conner
Walker was made famous for his role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise.
He appeared in five of the six films and began filming the seventh installment in September, which is thought to be halfway through filming. Universal, the studio behind the franchise, have announced that filming will continue once they’ve found a rework this tragic accident – they will need some time to grieve.
He was 40 and is survived by his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker.

Gone – Never Forgotten
Paul Walker may be gone, but his kind acts of charity and talent on film will live on forever.
Outside of the street racing film franchise which brought him international success, Walker was a huge fan of fast and exotic cars. I’m sure he’d rather go out like this than any other tragedy.
Here’s a great quote from him:
If one day the speed kills me, do not cry because I was smiling.
R.I.P. Paul Walker – the films will never be the same without you.
